The Sweet Hour of Prayer
The Bible states in the Book of Luke 18:1 "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." From the very beginning of the human race, people have prayed. In all types of places, at all times and in every conceivable situation individuals as well as groups of people have prayed.
Both the Christian and the heathen alike have spent an enormous amount of time in the pursuit of prayer. However, very few people have truly made prayer a major priority in their life. Those who have, stand out as bright lights in a dark world. Many have chosen to pray when it was convenient for them, or when they were undergoing a time of great stress and trial. Yet it is clear from Luke 18:1 that Jesus wants prayer to hold a preeminent place in our lives. In the day and age in which we live we need to understand what prayer really is. By knowing what prayer is will help us to see that it deserves to be a priority in our lives.
Prayer is an Invitation to God. Mark 5:22-23.
Prayer is Work. It takes determination and true commitment to pray.
Prayer is a Battle. Prayer is one of our greatest weapons in the battle between good and evil.

Prayer is a Developer. Prayer is essential in the development of Christian character.
Prayer is the Fragrance of Christian Activity. True prayer envelopes all that we do in the breath of Heaven.
Prayer is communication with God.
May we be challenged to pray:
Personally
Persistently
Powerfully.
May God bless each of you, by His Grace and for His Glory, Eric
